INDICATIONS
Doxorubicin for injection, indicated for bronchial asthma, wheezing chronic bronchitis and other dyspnoea due to bronchospasm.
Adverse reactions
The use of xanthine derivatives may cause nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, headache, insomnia, irritability, tachycardia, pre-term contractions, shortness of breath, hyperglycaemia, proteinuria. Severe cardiac arrhythmias and paroxysmal spasms may also occur in the event of overdose. This is the first sign of toxicity and should be suspended, diagnosed by a doctor and blood levels monitored. However, use may be continued after the above signs and symptoms of toxicity have completely disappeared.
