INDICATIONS
Piperacillin sodium for injection is suitable for sepsis caused by sensitive Enterobacteriaceae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter, upper urinary tract and complicated urinary tract infection, respiratory tract infection, biliary tract infection, abdominal infection , pelvic infections, and skin and soft tissue infections. Piperacillin in combination with aminoglycosides can also be used for infections in immunocompromised patients with neutropenia.
Adverse reactions
1. Allergic reactions: Allergic reactions to penicillin drugs are common, including various rashes such as urticaria, leukopenia, interstitial nephritis, asthma attacks and serum sickness-type reactions. Severe cases such as anaphylactic shock are rare; once anaphylactic shock occurs, It must be rescued on the spot, and treatment measures such as keeping the airway open, inhaling oxygen, and administering epinephrine and glucocorticoids are required.
2. Local symptoms: pain at the local injection site, thrombophlebitis, etc.
3. Gastrointestinal symptoms: diarrhea, loose stools, nausea, vomiting, etc.; pseudomembranous colitis is rare.
4. Cholestatic jaundice may occur in individual patients.
5. Central nervous system symptoms: headache, dizziness, and tiredness.
