INDICATIONS
It is suitable for asthma, chronic asthmatic bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to relieve wheezing symptoms. It can also be used for cardiac insufficiency and cardiogenic asthma.
Contraindication
It should not be used in patients with allergies, active digestive ulcers, or uncontrolled convulsive disorders.
Adverse reaction
Theophylline toxicity often occurs when the serum concentration is 15-20μg/ml, especially at the beginning of treatment, nausea, vomiting, agitation, insomnia and so on are common in the early stage. When the serum concentration exceeds 20μg/ml, tachycardia and arrhythmia may occur. When the serum theophylline exceeds 40μg/ml, fever, water loss, convulsions and other symptoms may occur. Serious even cause respiratory, heartbeat arrest death.
