INDICATIONS
Amoxicillin sodium clavulanate potassium for injection, indications are:
1. Upper respiratory tract infections: sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis.
2. Lower respiratory tract infections: acute bronchitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscess, and bronchiectasis co-infection.
3. Urinary tract infections: cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, Neisseria gonorrhoeae urinary tract infection.
4. Skin and soft tissue infections: boils, abscesses, cellulitis, wound infections, intra-abdominal sepsis, etc.
5. Other infections: otitis media, osteomyelitis, sepsis, peritonitis, and post-operative infections.
Adverse reactions
Gastrointestinal reactions:
Diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, and vomiting have been reported. Antibiotic-associated colitis (including pseudomembranous and hemorrhagic colitis) and candidiasis have been reported occasionally. Nausea is uncommon and is associated with higher doses.
