INDICATIONS
Cefonicid sodium for injection, indications are: lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, sepsis, skin and soft tissue infection, bone and joint infection. It can also be used in surgery to prevent infection. A single dose of 1 g of cefonicid administered prior to surgery may reduce the incidence of postoperative infections due to contamination or potential contamination during surgery. The use of cefonicil (after cutting the umbilical cord) during a cesarean section can reduce the incidence of certain postoperative infections.
Adverse reactions
Cefonicil is generally well tolerated, and the most common adverse reaction is pain during intramuscular injection.
