INDICATIONS
It is suitable for moderate and severe infections caused by Streptococcus, Staphylococcus and anaerobic bacteria (including Bacteroides fragilis, Bacillus pneumoniae, Actinomyces, etc.), such as aspiration pneumonia, abscess, lung abscess, osteomyelitis, abdominal cavity infection, pelvic infection and sepsis.
Adverse reactions
1) Gastrointestinal reactions: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. are common; in severe cases, there are abdominal cramps, abdominal pressure, severe diarrhea (watery or purulent blood-like) with fever, abnormal thirst and fatigue (pseudomembranous enteritis). Diarrhea, enteritis and pseudomembranous enteritis can occur at the beginning of drug administration or several weeks after discontinuation.
2) Hematologic: Occasionally, leukopenia, neutropenia, eosinophilia, and thrombocytopenia may occur; rarely, aplastic anemia.
3) Allergic reactions: rash, pruritus, and occasionally urticaria, angioedema, and serum sickness reactions are seen; exfoliative dermatitis, dermatitis herpetiformis, erythema multiforme, and Steven-Johnson syndrome are rare.
4) Abnormal liver and renal function, such as elevated serum aminotransferase and jaundice.
