INDICATIONS
Flucloxacillin sodium for injection, suitable for treatment
1. Skin and soft tissue infections: such as boils, pains, abscesses, cellulitis, impetigo, infectious burns, skin graft protection, infectious skin conditions such as ulcers, eczema and acne wound infections;
2. Respiratory tract infection: such as pneumonia, pulmonary abscess, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, peri-scapular abscess, otitis externa and empyema;
3. Other infections: osteomyelitis, urinary tract infection, enteritis, meningitis, endocarditis, septicemia;
4. Also recommended as a prophylactic for major surgical procedures such as cardiothoracic and orthopaedic procedures when appropriate.
Adverse reactions
1. Allergic reactions have been reported as with other β-lactam antibiotics. The more common allergic reaction is a rash. If any allergic reaction occurs, treatment should be interrupted.
2. Liver: A small number of patients may have a temporary increase in aminotransferase after treatment, but it can be reversed when treatment is interrupted. There are also reports of acute hepatic cholestatic jaundice.
3. There are occasional reports of acute interstitial nephritis caused by Shensheng.
4. A small number of patients with gastrointestinal tract may have gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and occasionally pseudomembranous colitis.
5. Nervous disorders in the central nervous system, such as convulsions, may be associated with high-dose intravenous administration in patients with renal failure.
