INDICATIONS
Nimodipine for injection, indicated for the prevention and treatment of ischaemic neurological injury due to cerebral vasospasm following aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage.
Adverse reactions
Digestive system: nausea, gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhoea, intestinal obstruction (impaired intestinal transport due to intestinal paralysis) in individual patients, gastrointestinal bleeding, abnormal liver function, hepatitis, jaundice.
Neurological: dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, weakness, drowsiness; some patients may have symptoms of central excitation such as insomnia, hyperactivity, excitement, aggression and hyperhidrosis. Occasionally, motor hyperactivity, depression and neurodegeneration are seen.
