INDICATIONS
Benzathine penicillin for injection is mainly used to prevent the recurrence of rheumatic fever, and it can also be used to control the prevalence of streptococcal infection.
Adverse reactions
1. Allergic reactions: Allergic reactions caused by penicillin may occur during the application of this product. Among them, allergic reactions such as rash are the most common, and leukopenia, interstitial nephritis, asthma attacks and serum sickness-type reactions are rare. Severe cases such as allergic reactions Sexual shock is rare; once anaphylactic shock occurs, it must be rescued on the spot, and treatment measures such as keeping the airway open, oxygen inhalation, and the use of epinephrine and glucocorticoids are required.
2. Superinfection: Penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Gram-negative bacilli, or Candida superinfection may occur.
