INDICATIONS
It is mainly used for allergic and autoimmune inflammatory diseases. Now mostly used for active rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, severe bronchial asthma, severe dermatitis, acute leukemia, etc. Also used for the comprehensive treatment of certain infections
Adverse reactions
Glucocorticosteroids have no significant adverse effects when applied in physiological doses, but they mostly occur in pharmacological doses and are closely related to the course of treatment, dose, type of drug, usage and route of administration. Common adverse reactions are as follows:
Long-term use can cause the following side effects: medical Cushing's syndrome face and posture, weight gain, swelling of the lower extremities, purple lines, bleeding tendency, poor healing of sores, acne, menstrual disorders, ischemic necrosis of the humerus or femoral head, osteoporosis and fractures (including vertebral compression fractures, pathological fractures of long bones), muscle weakness, myasthenia gravis, hypokalemia, gastrointestinal irritation (nausea, vomiting), pancreatitis peptic ulcer or perforation, growth inhibition in children, glaucoma, cataract, benign cranial.
